Through My Eyes
*
With the demonstrations and work in the Grove I still haven't been able to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma. I have kept the clay moist however so it will be ready for further work. In the Grove it seems there will be some cherries! This should please the birds...
![]() It's a gentle reminder that nothing ever is as bleak as it seems and after a long time of preparation things can change for the better, sometimes quite rapidly.
As the Dalai Lama has pointed out, " China's society is already in flux today, and this has led to many positive changes. The Chinese are rediscovering religion. Former party leader Jiang Zemin is a Buddhist, and so is former Prime Minister Zhu Rongji. Many businesspeople and artists have also begun showing an interest in Buddhism. Exciting and certainly nonconformist essays critical of the regime are appearing on the Internet. This could lead to growing sympathy and solidarity with the Tibetan cause."
So there is much room for hope and we must keep Tibet in the sight of the world and keep on the pressure!
Even when things seem terrible it is always good to remember that nothing lasts- especially power and cruel repression empty of truth. It seems strong but it cannot last. There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
