Through My Eyes
*
With work in the Grove, tidying up and resting I haven't yet been able to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma except to continue to keep the clay moist. I have made some more progress on the frame loom though! We can see I've added a wooden slat that acts as the shed roll does but helps because it pushes the threads farther apart. This is needed because, unlike with the backstrap loom, the long or warp threads are pulled tight all the time.
![]() After the warp threads are released the slat can then be flipped down or pulled out.
![]() Then the other set of threads can be pushed up by the blocks as before. Eventually I'll design these peices into the body of the loom itself. It is much easier to work with now though and things are going rather well! There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
