Through My Eyes

Continuing work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma.  I had originally planned to have the sculpture cast by someone with more experience but I was unable to afford the work. So I'm preparing to cast the sculpture myself! First it will be necessary to prepare the sculpture, then to make the mold, and then to make the sculpture itself by filling the mold with the material the sculpture will be made of. Here I'm preparing the sculpture...

The area around the hands and cloth will be much to complex a job with all the internal spaces so I'm making it more simple by redesigning with the open spaces filled in.

We can see cracks in the clay where drying has occured. This isn't a problem; I'll moisten it as I go.

I'm also researching and learning about materials for the mold. Things are coming along quite well! There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
