Through My Eyes
*
I haven't yet had a chance to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma. I have had a bit more time to continue stringing the loom and have gotten somewhat farther. Soon it will be ready to string the beam!
![]() Since I am using only handspun thread for both warp and weft threads I thought it might be good to spin the thread for the beam stringing also...
Because the beam stringing thread has to be fine yet not cut too much into the warp threads I thought wool would work well. It contains lanolin, a natural oil, that will make it stronger in thinner diameter thread and allow it to slide easily back and forth. The dark color will make it easier to see in between the warp threads in case tangles have to be worked out. There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
