Through My Eyes

I haven't yet been able to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma. The weaving on the frame loom is coming along though...

It's just about long enough! As anticipated it has become quite a bit narrower but is still wide enough for half a panel of fabric for a prayer flag. With the plied thread it should go more easily next time although it will take awhile to create enough warp thread. Another week has come and gone and three more Tibetans have sacrificed their lives for their people and nation. Forty two have entered the flames. At times like this I am reminded of what Shantideva says of the great Bodhisattvas, those who have attained enlightenment but vow to return until all beings are free of suffering:

Those whose minds are practiced in this way
Whose happiness it is to soothe the pain of others
Will venture in the hell of unremitting agony
As swans sweep down upon a lotus lake

Do the nations of the world realize what they are losing?

There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
