Through My Eyes
*
I haven't had the chance to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma this week. Here is another view of last week's work though...
![]() We can see the large displacement in space of the hair. I'll work on the detail a bit more when the large masses have been laid out. This week I find myself thinking of interdependence.
I go to the store and buy something. It says made in China.
It's in that store because it cost a lot less for a company to make it in China and that company has an unfair competitive advantage that forces other companies to either close their doors or do the same thing.
So my friends over here lose their jobs and their livelihood.
It cost a lot less to make it in China because in many cases it was made in a laogi prison labor camp or factory where people are treated as slaves.
My purchase ends up enriching the CCP who in turn uses it to kill and imprison my friends in Tibet and destroy the land and living beings they have cared for for thousands of years.
They also use it to oppress their own people and destroy they land and living beings they have cared for for thousands of years.

They take all that money and live distracted lives devoted to the pursuit of pleasure and the avoidance of pain all the while aware within the depths of their being that they are fundmentally unhappy. Eventually they will experience terrible suffering in future existences as they participate in the karmic law of cause and effect.
So it's rather simple really.
We can forget about asking political leaders to do something as they clutch to their positions with votes gained with the money supplied by unconcerned business interests. We can say instead:
"Until you demonstrate for all the world that the money I spend today isn't going to cause suffering I'm not giving it to you."
And the suffering ends.
There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
