( We continue to read of ongons!)

" As your shamanic activities continue, you will make more ongons. If you call a spirit for a specific purpose, such as assistance in a healing, you may want to make an ongon for that spirit to leave with the patient while they are recovering. You will probably add more spirits to your spirit family during your shamanic career, and you should make ongons for them as well. It is not unusual for a shaman to have quite a collection of ongons after several years of work.  You will come to recognize distinct personalities in the various spirits they represent and find that certain ongons are effective for certain types of shamanic work. Some ongons will be good for healing; others may be useful for protection, blessing, or weather magic, for example. Employing ongons that are helpful for specific purposes will bring better results.
Once you have created and animated your ongons, there are a few things you should do to take care of them. Never lay them down carelessly, as this is a sign of disrespect for the spirits they represent. According to Mongolian and Siberian custom, you should "feed" them by putting a dab of milk, alcohol,or grease on them from time to time. If you are happy with the assistance of a certain spirit, you can add decorations to the spirit's ongon. If you decide to no longer work with a certain spirit, you can dispose of the ongon either by burning it respectfully or by discarding it in a place out in nature. Simply throwing an ongon away is an insult to the spirit and you may suffer illness or bad luck as a result of its anger.
The Ritual to Enliven ongons is a very simple ritual with the spirit for which it was created. It should be done only when the process of creating the ongon is completed and the materials you used for making it are put away. A ritual space is not necessary if you feel confident in contacting your spirits without one.
Call in your helper spirits with a simple invocation. Once you have done this, address the spirit for which the ongon was specifically made."
( In the Buryat world the connection between the material and spiritual world is done with intent through ritual!)  I promise to add more tomorrow...

( Tahshi Deleh, gentle beautiful one!  Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? I hope you liked the picture of the Potala. An awesome place! With the weather being rainy here I went to our studio to work and ended up getting a lot more done in there than I thought I would! Well working two as one that is to be expected! I spent a fair bit of time on the messy nucleus and then set to work on the light fixtures, clearing more space generally, and washing more of the floor.  I'll add our wildflowers and put this up a bit early  so we can rest.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on  to tomorrow
