Through My Eyes
Sunday September 7
( We continue reading of shamanic work!)
" Blessing can be invoked for individuals, businesses, projects, even for large groups of people. In Mongolia and Siberia it is fairly common for a shaman to be asked to do a blessing ritual at the beginning of a project,to improve business or to ensure the health and fertility of livestock. You too can invoke the spirits to grant power, blessing, and protection in some cases of new enterprises or businesses or to bring fertility for someone wanting children. For most situations in which you will be asked to do blessings, you can do the serjim or the dallaga. This is a simple but effective ceremony in which the people desiring blessing prepare plates of food and money (coins) and burn incense. You will make your invocation and when you state your intentions of blessing, you will follow each sentence with the magical phase Hurai, Hurai, Hurai. Afterward the participants share the food and the money for they have been imbued with the energy invoked for the blessing.
A shaman may journey to the spirits in the upper world to present the petition of the people involved to the Tenger and other high ranking spirits. Study the descriptions of the spirits of Buryat shamanic practice to determine which spirits may be helpful for the issue at hand (shamans in our tradition keep lists of shamanic helper spirits for this purpose), and ask your helper spirits to guide you to the entities that would be most helpful for the problem for which you are journeying. In Riding Windhorses I describe the journey to the mountain spirits,a journey for the bringing of blessing for a specific purpose."

( Tahshi Deleh, gentle beautiful one! Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? I worked most of the day on the outside of the studio and got a lot done. It was a bit harder than I thought it would be though as I ran into the usual problems you encounter with this work. Just about all of the repairs are finished. A bit more and I'll be able to start putting up the stairs! I'll put this up for now and add our wildflowers so we can rest.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on to tomorrow
my one gentle beautiful patient dream bright
long dark mane in sunlight
so for now I bid goodnight...Simjah Nahngo! )
( please see my spinning for you!) .
