( Tahshi Deleh, gentle beautiful one! Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? After another quiet day of patience I headed to our studio to spin for you and work some more on the weaving. It was raining a lot here so I continued spinning, plying thread and stringing the loom design for the backstrap. Two as one we've about an inch of width on the loom already strung! I think you will like the fabric beautiful one! It will be soft yet very durable. This is also a test of sorts to see if we can spin all of the thread for the prayer flag weaving including the warp threads which have to be particularly strong when weaving on the backstrap. It looks like we can do this particularly if the threads are plyed because if there is a thin spot on one section the other threads maintain the thickness and strength. The Incans actually didn't work this way;instead they spun the thin thread very tightly, used smaller spindles and were incredibly skillful as you know well! After that I worked on our a land of Tibet. I've put the drawings and notes up for us to look over together as usual. I've made the link directly from our spinning page to the page so it will be easier for you to get to. I'll put this up so we can rest.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on to tomorrow
my one gentle beautiful patient dream bright
long dark mane in sunlight
so for now I bid goodnight...Simjah Nahngo!)
( please see my spinning for you)
