With us working two as one the backstrap is coming along quite well! You can see the grapevine being used to anchor the weaving. I've wrapped some of our spun thread around it in spots to protect it's surface.




I  set it  up so that the backstrap can be rolled up while weaving using a system of loops. The traditional design as you probably know uses two sticks. It actually works better with the two sticks as it is somewhat easier to keep the weft straight.

Here is the full length of the backstrap. It's actually longer now as I took this picture a bit over a week ago. I promise to bring us more later. In the meanwhile we can read together from our Tibetan language book from the reading we two as one created!
