Through My Eyes
Sunday December 14
( We read of the Tenger in the Buryat tradition!)
" They are believed to be descendants of Esege Malaan Tenger and Manzan Gurme Toodei, who reside in the upper world. At the beginning of time they split into four groupings associated with the four directions. The tenger most often called on are Han Hormasta, the leader of the western tenger; Altai Ulaan, one of the eastern tenger; Bukhe Beligte, son of Han Hormasta;Tatai Tenger, tenger of storms; Erleg Khan, lord of the lower world; and Uha Loson Khan, tenger of the waters. If you wish to appeal to the tenger, you may address them collectively. One of them may over the course of time reveal himself or herself to you and develop a deeper level of cooperation. Many of the deities invoked in other traditions may be regarded as being tenger; you will know yourself if a certain being with which you feel connected could be considered one of the tenger. Because the tenger are universal, and those described at the end of this book are known in many cultures (just by different names), when you read about them you may recognize some of the beings you address in your own spiritual practice even though they are here described with Mongolian names.
Tenger do not generally join a shaman's spirit family-they are available to all people who call on them.
Tenger are called sky spirits because their home in the upper world is beyond the sky, yet the implied meaning is that they control natural forces, which they do. Tenger are often appealed to in situations in which the environment is out of balance-to avert bad weather, for example, or to bring rain."
(In the Buryat world the elemental forces of existence are directed by a consciousness! ) I promise to add more tomorrow...

( Tahshi Deleh, gentle beautiful one! Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? It had just begun to snow when I woke up and I wanted to cover some of our native plants in the Grove with leaves from in front of the studio. It was a bit of a rush, but with Mom's help I got them covered and ready for winter's cold. They are under a foot of snow now! Two as one we've gotten a lot done! I can't think of anything up there now that has to be done to prepare for winter. Then I returned to our studio, did a few chores, tidied up a bit and worked on our a land of Tibet. I'm going to remain all day at our studio tomorrow working and ramble about up in the Grove. I'll add our wildflowers and put this up for now so we can rest.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on to tomorrow
my one gentle beautiful patient dream bright
long dark mane in sunlight
so for now I bid goodnight...Simjah Nahngo! )
( please see my spinning for you!) .
