Here's our first  printing block!  I've put our drawings in the backround since this is the name of Tibet! It has gone quite well although we did need to reglue in places where the wood came out. It's much larger script than our prayer flag though. However, we've figured out a slightly different way to do this.



We'll use harder wood and  a different technique to produce something that resembles printing blocks we've seen! This wood is probably birch or maple. We carve away from the script in a beveled fashion toward a cut somewhat away from the original lines. It's a bit rough but this script is much smaller, about the size of that on our prayer flag! With a bit of practice I think this method will work just fine. We should have something to put on the pages for a Windhorse project soon!
