(We begin listening to the Dalai Lama as he continues telling of compassion, world peace, and happiness in My Tibet written by he and Galen Rowell!)

" Even in economics this idea is increasingly important. When we talk about the economy, there are no longer firm national boundaries. In economics now each continent is interconnected. If we try to hold onto only our own boundaries and property, we are no longer able to develop properly. The structure of economics has become global. We have the European Common Market-hardly what anyone would call religious-presenting us with the reality that we need some kind of genuine universal responsibility. The same thing, to a lesser degree, has begun to happen in politics. The narrow view that politicians had early in this century is much changed today.

My people in Tibet tried to live in isolation from the rest of the world. We found out too late that this was no longer feasible. Today we see people all over the planet beginning to confront the evil forces within humanity that threaten the basic human spirit. For example, in the early part of this century many people believed that honorable decisions should be pursued through war. Now that concept is to a great deal gone, because today's war, nuclear war, has become something unthinkable hasn't it? There's no viable alternative, really, except coexistence-living and working together. "

( Tahshi Deleh gentle one! Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? I began the day in our studio spinning for you then tidied up for awhile before working on some more business stuff before heading out to wander about taking pictures. After that I headed up gang rinpoche ngah tso gi to check our trees and native plants. The wind had been quite strong earlier in the day and some of the wooden posts fell down! It didn't take long to fix the fence though since we've a fair amount of extra electric conduit from unused sections of fencing. After that I rested by your Medlar tree as usual before returning to our studio to work on our a land of Tibet. Two as one we've fixed a few more mistakes on the pages. I'm going to put the pages up on our infosite; I'll put this up a bit early so we can rest.

And so, as always we'll continue two as one on to tomorrow

my one gentle beautiful patient swift dream bright
