Through My Eyes
Sunday March 28
( We continue to read of the creation of a ritual space!)
" In Mongolia and Siberia the creation of a ritual space is customary in shamanic work, as it is pleasing to the spirits and gives them a specific place in which to perform their tasks. The placements of food and drink offerings, the arrangement of the ongons on an altar or sacred space, setting the shamanic implements where they are convenient to the shaman-all are ritual actions that show respect to the spirits and to the shaman who is doing the work. The creation of the sacred space can be done by the shaman or by all the people involved in the ritual.
Because all rituals use sacred smoke, fire, or both, designate someone to be responsible for the fire if you are not working alone. The fire keeper is responsible for ensuring that the fire and other burning materials do not accidentally burn anything around them. This person will make sure the smudges and incense stay lit and that the fire, if a fire is being used, is stocked with wood. It is most important that the burning materials do not go out, for that is a bad omen for the success of the ritual."
( Candles are often used as well.) I promise to add more tomorrow...

( Tahshi Deleh, gentle beautiful one! Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? I spent the morning bringing more tree food to the trees and native plants around the studio then did a bit of pruning and clearing I hadn't gotten to. After that I set up a rig to carry Mom's wagon across the stream with ropes and pulleys for the trees across the stream near the studio. It worked adequately but was a bit tough when it first lurched over the stream. Also the pull up the bank on the other side was tough! The next big loads of tree food are now at the top of the Grove so two as one we'll continue pulling strongly together through the spring work! It's been a bit of a jam as I finished outside fairly late. The day was beautiful though it wasn't our warm and bright future day of course! I'll add our wildflowers then put this up so we can rest.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on to tomorrow
my one gentle beautiful patient dream bright
long dark mane in sunlight
so for now I bid goodnight...Simjah Nahngo! )
( please see my spinning for you!) .
