Through My Eyes

Sunday  March 7

( We continue to read of some Buryat Festivals!)

" The Great Summer Ceremony, honoring Mother Earth, is held around June 5 or June 6.
The summer solstice, known as Ulaan Tergel (Red Round) or Naran Butsha Odor ( Day of the Sun's Return), is commemorated with a ceremony at an oboo or similar sacred space. One or more shamans will drum and incorporate the spirits in succession with the purpose of bring blessings to the people assembled there. It is believed that the summer solstice starts a time when the amount of spiritual help available to the shaman is at it's peak, and this period lasts for three months. Some groups throw water on the oboo and on each other  to ensure rain and fertility. Another custom is to cut up the food offerings after the ceremony and throw them to the children, who scramble to gather as many morsels and pieces of candy as possible.
July 3 or July 4 is the day usually dedicated to shamanic rituals in honor of the water spirits and the spirits of the lower world."

( In the Buryat world  living in Nature is celebrated!)  I promise to add more tomorrow...

( Tahshi Deleh, gentle beautiful one!  Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh?I spent much of the day working in the Grove securing the trees with ties as the wind has been blowing quite strongly up there! Then I returned to our studio to work on your loom and our a land of Tibet. I've changed the wording a bit on our pages from our sacred place to express better what I felt.  Two as one we've fixed a few more things on the pages and made a bit more space by moving some of the pages of last year over to our infosite. It may not be quite time for the spring color yet; I've noticed that the ground is still quite solidly frozen and there may be a bit more snow this week! You can judge this though; I'll tell you of conditions in the Grove as things progress. I'm going to work at our studio tomorrow;two as one we'll be ordering things for the Grove and on our a land of Tibet! It's a bit late so I'll add our wildflowers then put this up so we can rest.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on  to tomorrow
