Sunday March 27

A glimpse
forth toward the span
to the leading light of my long day
slight gentle beautiful determined bright one
patiently making her way
she firmly alone firmly herself
to quietly remind me
that not so far away
for she I we two
our warm and bright future day
and to her then to say to tell
of the way from Yangdo Ubdutso
To the place where
the form of Mount Haba Gangri
can just be seen
in the distance
rising into the vast blue sky
abode
of the dakini sky dancers
Where stretched out before our sight
curves of perfect symmetry
the ridge of Chukar
step on step
row on row
of glittering splendor
as though fashioned
by awesome hand
Into a wondrous terraced
garden or
the roof of a palace
with tiers of jade
and silver
that surely must conceal
beneath the earth
the blazing halls of stone
alight with butter lamps
beyond count
for celestial deities
we rest in
the
silence
To hear the faint
then louder as we draw near
fierce and forbidding is it
gurgling hissing
sintering roaring of
a guardian for this place
surely it must be
for such sacred splendor
could not so meanly be
left abandoned
unattended by they
who fly with
the vastness
of unfettered mind
through glittering starfilled space
Look beautiful one
there before our shamanic sight
tearing down from the mountains height
in crystal armor all adorned
with ferocity unparalleled
a tak tiger bounds down
through unyielding rocks
through its steep chosen course
it glares at us for an instants breadth
of the toss of spray
above the foam
and a flick of its tail
sends down not far before
a great rockslide of stone
what a crashing rumble it makes
3250 meters eleven thousand feet
it leaps again and yet again
through the Takchong Gak
Tiger Leaping Gorge
All this not so wonderful
to my straining eyes
as your determined beauty
and uplifted patient dignity
that endures with patient grace
this that I see in you
beneath the open sky
on this afternoon
of our spring of working
and waiting
and weaving
Lotus blossoms rest
upon the window sill
and so we wait
two as one
we our effort
real and lasting
slight gentle
beautiful one
