Through My Eyes

Saturday March 4

(We continue listening to the Dalai Lama as he tells of compassion, world peace, and happiness in My Tibet written by he and Galen Rowell!)

" Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to talk wiht some famous scientists in different fields, such as psychology, neurobiology, and nuclear physics, and I see many things in common between their scientific explanations and our Buddhist explanations. There are two sides-scientific and spiritual- to realizing how best to serve humanity. In Buddhism we have no Creator. We consider each one of us a creator. We burden ourselves with the events we carry on our shoulders much of the time. Science, too, is telling us this. And even if someone accepts the idea that God created everything, a great responsibility still lies on humanity. We still need constant human effort, without losing courage or hope to be able to lead happy, useful lives. In my lifetime I have seen a tremendous amount of suffering, a tremendous number of people killed by other people. It would be easy to have a pessimistic view of human values and truth, but trust and optimism are equally important."

( Tahshi Deleh gentle one! Kehrahng kusu debo yinpeh? I began the day in our studio spinning for you then headed up gang rinpoche ngah tso gi to check our trees and native plants. Then I continued pruning which with we two working as one pulling strongly and patiently together is going quite well! We've almost completed this! After that I rested by your Medlar tree as usual before returning to our studio to work on the site for awhile, then some business stuff. We've put up the pages for December and January! After that I worked on our a land of Tibet. Two as one we've fixed a few more mistakes on the pages as usual. I'm going to put the pages up on our infosite; I'll put this up for now so we can rest.

And so, as always we'll continue two as one on to tomorrow
