Through My Eyes
Wednesday December 4
I've a few more stars but you've been patiently bearing along with me all these cold dark winter days ...Let's work in the studio! Rough as it is, I find it a peaceful place especially when the day job's demands seem unduly intrusive ( All work is spiritual work of course, and I try to do the best I can , but the value of undisturbed solitude to creative independent thought seems to be undervalued at times ).
Well, the dream work awaits! The first sculpture of the Windhorse project has just begun ( it's sitting to the left), and a large mallet sits on the bench along with a couple of carving gouges. If you bring up the mallet to the piece, I'll pick up one too and we can start working! You'll notice it is fairly heavy. It is made of a wood called Lignum Vitae and is good for removing large amounts of wood from the log at the beginning ). Of course, there is always the weaving loom to work on ( I still haven't learned anything about weaving looms yet!).
With our determination, we can accomplish much. The grove awaits too, of course. When we have worked enough , please click on the picture and we will continue...
