Through My Eyes

Friday   January 3

We continue on into winter( I hope your drive from work wasn't so bad  that this isn't interesting. After repairing the fences around the medlar trees, we checked the kiwi vines, guomis, and aronias of course.  I don't know  yet  if  I got any pictures of them this year though because they were just planted and are rather small.)!  I  decided to back up a bit  to take a picture of the cedars for us and you've  patiently waited.  Now here we are at the lower gate to the Grove!  We stop to give our  prayer of respect , request permission to enter, and wait for a short while in silence ( you understand this no doubt, and may have your own way of doing this that you could share with me.)  Then, we open the gate and  walk around making sure the fence is holding up well in this snowstorm!

Of course, the Windhorse project continues, so we return to work in the studio.  I haven't been making huge progress, but I did make some more space, uncovered a great portable drafting table for designing  prayer flags, and figured out how to hook an antenna booster to my cell phone (and promptly announced the fact in To our Friends with the usual bolded emphasis.  You may have noticed this already).  Small progress in this winter's darkness, but with this great effort of the heart lots of patience is necessary so we  do a little each day toward the future and patiently  and determinedly bear the day to day frustrations that beset us.)  Our prayer flag continues to wave!

I promise to add more tomorrow...
