Through Winter
First shiny leaves of spring
on blossom covered cherry tree
The raindrop perched on blade of grass
that gleams in the first sunlight
after the cold fall rain.
The twinkling stars in dark winter night
of glinting, sparkling, shining white
from fiery suns so far away.
The peepers call on warm summer’s eve
and the great blazing show of the sunset sky
All quietly bridge the way
from my heart to my hands
Yet not so well as you.
From summer through to winter's cold
and then till spring again
There’s none who can supplant you
there’s none that can replace you
on path unmarked yet plain
our souls now one from twain*
January 9
Through my eyes * poetical , meaning two ( you may well know this already).
