Sunday July 6

The

clear gold light

a gentle morning breeze

Brr.. let’s go upon the hill,

to scythe the grass

to raise it up as it falls

to bring it to your medlar tree

a cool  shelter

for living earth beneath

Our mind resting in

The smell of newly dried grass

the rustle as it rises

upon our forks

in quiet tune to our thoughts

of our purpose

to help those

in a land so far away

The warm red  gold light

in the late afternoon

and all still

in the  steady heat

that pauses in passing cloud

The sudden silent cooling darkening

the stormy wind

as the trees begin to bend and  wave

in the blue black whitened sky

and rumbling thunder all around

And then the rain

tearing for earth in great sheets

our clothes wet plastered on our bodies

our eyes stinging our lips salty

with the salt of rainy rivers

merged with sweat running down our

faces and falling from our hair

And laughing as we walk

down the hill

the flipping back

of rain bejeweled wild rose

through the coursing of the stream

to find shelter in the cool

darkness

of quiet studio with

the work of our hands and heart

quietly resting there

and quietly watch the the steady patter

as the mist rises

from grateful cooling earth

A quiet patient time apart

even when not seen

still gentle hearts vision

And so, we share this time

together

slight gentle one

as we rest easy

as our plan grows
