One of the pear trees by the stream. It's an oriental pear tree which will live for centuries, grow to enormous size, and
produce a few tons of pears each year. At least that is what such trees do in their native land. ( I'm just going to amble about the yard today
for a little while. I was up very late getting the website problem sorted out. You'll notice I've changed the color of the page! It's not that
warm and bright future day to be sure, but the trees are beginning to leaf out by the house,the rye is growing in Mom's garden,and
a few dandelions are blooming here and there. If you'd like, we can read more together later in the week.)
