Through My Eyes

We are at the sacred place once again. It's a bit chilly with the rain's end. Brr..let's stay here a little longer though resting quietly together in the silence. It's been a hard week! A bird sings a few notes in the evening twilight and we both turn our heads to listen. It's been six weeks since the coming of the Spring and that warm and bright day is another 2 weeks closer than when we were last here! I promise to add more tomorrow...

* I thought we could once again listen to the prayer for truth song with all that it means to us. I will

never give up on what it stands for.

(The trees are just about all in. The rain will help them considerably. I ran into a bit of a snag though. There is a hillside seep just above a few of them. These are a bit weird because it just looks like dry grass up above with no sign of wetland vegetation anywhere. Even a few feet down everything is dry until a good downpour. Then water runs into the side of the hole as if through a pipeline and fills the hole in a few minutes. Not a good spot to plant a tree as it may hold this water for a few days which is long enough to starve the roots of oxygen. My response was far from patient as I was standing there with several trees that badly needed to be planted and a bunch of holes that had been prepared to no avail. After stomping about a bit and swearing like crazy I settled down, covered them with soil and put things away for tomorrow. It's going to be tricky finding places for them as I haven't prepared any new spots yet.
