Through My Eyes

Wednesday  May 7

Here we are looking at the yarrow.  The flowers will be out soon!  We've been feeding the trees so we're taking a short rest. (  I spent the evening working  through the Grove. The tree feeding is almost done.  It's late now so we'll read more on the weekend.)

Through my eyes

     *  (I wanted to get the fertilizer out before it rained again so that it would get pulled into the ground.  Well over 100 trees are done.  The technology is the very best of course. It consists of a ten foot length of metal pipe, the fertilizer bag and a tin can.  It's not hard; you center the pipe in front of the tree so it's easier to see what a 10 by 10 foot area looks like.  The rate is 10 pounds per thousand square feet. So it's a pound per 100 square feet, which is the 10 by 10.  So then you just scoop up to the 1 pound line on the can , grab  handfuls  and toss it out there. I like it's simplicity.   You may have some refinements of course.    I bought a push spreader but I haven't been able to work out  the logistics of getting all the things called for by the soil analysis report  so it isn't necessary now. There will be more to done in the fall!  The Windhorse project continues firm in Love and Right Action of course. Those dowels should be in pretty soon and I already have some basswood and clay ( for the modelling).  I'll order the gilding supplies a bit later because they are a bit on the expensive side.  The vibirnum bush is blooming under the pine tree on the way to Mom's garden. It has a beautiful subtle smell that wafts onto the breeze through the yard in front of the studio.  You'd really like it I think; it's not one of those  overpowering cloying scents.( At this moment, I'm  reminded  of one certain bright swift morning.)  I've taken some pictures of it so we can look at them together.  I'd better get to bed now as it was quite a haul. I basically spent a few hours in continuous rapid motion and am quite tired.  There are still more blossoms in the Grove and I've been faithfully taking pictures of them so we can look at them together.

  And, so ( for now)
           to my one  dream bright
I bid goodnight!  ( as  we continue on to tomorrow.)
