Through My Eyes

Friday  May 9

Our prayer flag flying in the wind on this, our 151st day. ( We've been seeing together for 202 days now and that warm and bright day is another week closer!  The trees above the pine are our spirit trees by the stream.  I spent the day feeding the grape vines, native plants  and the remainder of the trees down by the stream.  I scythed some more grass and worked on the prayer flag banner too! Let's continue to read. Please click on the picture...)

Through my eyes

     *  ( I hope you liked the reading yesterday.  We're  just reading straight through the chapter about shamanic  costumes having begun where we left off last week.  The dowels came in so I cut  joints to hold them together so they would be long enough to hold the banner.  I'm supposed to go into my brother's garage tonight; we have to work on my automobile to replace the struts ( parts that make up the suspension).  I wore them out carrying heavy loads of supplies for the Grove.  The trees look fine and the apricots are setting fruit already.  Mom has just come in ; she wants to show me the asparagus in her garden;I'll look now and tell you of it  shortly...
It's awesome!  The strawberries look really good too! Let's take a look ( please click here)  We'll be bringing lots of mulch there from the field below.  I suppose I should describe what an acre is.  It's actually an area about 210 feet square.  I used the city lots analogy because they are typically about a quarter of an acre and easier to visualize.  Mom's been tuning over the winter rye with a spade so it can nourish the garden. It soon will be time to plant;  frost danger is just about over.  I learned about this the hard way last year; I planted a lot of kiwis and guomis, only to suffer heavy loss to frosts later.  So now I've  kept them inside until it's completely safe.   I saw Beaver yesterday hauling a small log down the stream. He was very intent on what he was doing and took quite a while to notice me. Once he did , of course he quietly swam away.  It's good to know he's come through the winter well.  Well the sun is falling on elm trees by the window so there's a little time before dusk to cut a little more grass and then it's back to work on our Windhorse project.  I hope you had the chance  to get outside; it's been a beautiful day!
   And, so
           to my one  dream bright
                      dark mane in sunlight
I bid goodnight!  ( as  we both  continue on to tomorrow.)
