Through My Eyes

Monday May 12

Here we are at the top of the Grove standing quietly looking out at the Mountains.( The wind has been blowing strongly after the yesterday's rain. I tried to begin putting the small fences around each tree but discovered I didn't have enough wire. The Tenger were putting on a splendid show though. A Windhorse Project continues in quiet patience of course. I've gotten a bit more done on the banner and will add some pictures a bit later in the week.) I promise to add more tomorrow...

Through my eyes

( I got nowhere working in the Grove today! It was one of those days. I ended up taking a lot of pictures of the sky instead. I have another T- shirt design to show you that I thought you would like. It's the butterfly picture "Love and Peace to All Beings". I like to think of that statement as one of love and respect for all living things. That to me means living things are here for us not to regarded as creatures to manipulate and use but as sacred friends . Somehow I don't think that implies we must necessarily keep the company of those whose attitudes and behavior indicate they haven't yet gotten to the point that they feel the same way. Anyway, I'm listening to the Spirit Wind CD right now as I type and thinking about how well the trees are growing. Some of them have put out 3-4 inches of growth already. The new planting is beginning to leaf out well although caterpillars ate off the buds of some of them. You have to watch this in a new planting because one good size caterpillar can set a newly growing tree back quite a bit. They are better off in another spot! I'd better get to sleep. Monday's a bit early in the week for sleep deprivation experiments.
