Through My Eyes

Friday  May 16

In front of the medlar tree.  It's about to bloom.( I have never seen this.  We will see this first medlar bloom together!  It was a tough day of quiet patience.  Let's read some more from the Secret Life of Plants about the Kirlians, a bit longer since we haven't had the chance to read together this week yet. Please click on the picture...)

*(  but first please click here to read of the day with me! )

( I hope you like the spindle idea. I may change the icon a little when I've gotten a spindle to photograph; this is a picture off of the web.  I admit to being somewhat frustrated at the tendency for things to be misrepresented or redefined such as our effort of the heart.  When one aspect or another of the  totality of something  is focused on in an attempt to distort it's meaning or redefine it  the process is in political terms is called " putting a spin on it".  You may have heard of this term already of course.  Rather than continually reasserting the firm independence of our effort from popular opinion and  sociopolitical efforts whose focus is  different in an attempt to prevent overlap into our creative space I'm just going to put a spin on things  as well.  I will devotedly spin thread and in so doing reassert that our focus has not changed since we began and will not change.  And in the end our effort  will benefit all beings.  I would like to get a Navaho spindle but will start with a simpler one for awhile and perhaps even make it myself!  The Navaho spindle sits on the ground and you sit beside it and work.  One thing that has to change for a while at least is my cell phone number.  With the plan I have now, when the cell phone malfunctions I have to get a new number with the new phone.  Anyway, the antenna seems to have malfunctioned on the old one and I have to get it fixed.  The new number will be (845) 532-5367.  I'll announce it in To Our Friends a bit later. I'll try to get the phone fixed as well.  And so, we  continue through the changes.  I bought some woven rope for the prayer flag banner so the project has gotten a little bit farther anyway.  Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain it will be time to mulch the trees and work on the banner some more.
 And so,
           to my one dream bright
I bid goodnight as we two rise as one to continue on to tomorrow!)
