Through My Eyes

Wednesday  May 21

It's a warm and bright future morning and we are resting for a bit and looking down on yarrow which is beginning to flower. Then it's up the hill to
work in the Grove!   ( I actually scythed around the studio a bit and weeded the raspberries.  It's a good evening to work on a Windhorse project!
I'm not sure I'll add to the pages tonight though but I'll try to get a little done.) I promise to add more tomorrow...

Through my eyes

( I'm listening to Spirit Wind now as I type.  I  saw some litter thrown onto the sidewalk today. It proclaimed something about  "Mothers Day". I find it  a bit ironic because it showed a lot of disrespect for the Mother of all mothers, the Earth herself.  I wonder if the person who threw it there had any respect for the feminine aspect.  I don't think so, anymore than the person who left a child's sock lying on the walk a week before did. Actually, Mother's Day is another one of those holidays our family doesn't take very seriously because as Mom puts it "everyday is Mother's Day".  Any day is a good day to show respect, love and gratitude on that score!  I find it strange that Mother's and Father's day are celebrated on  different days which to me is also artificial.  I remember a collection of Native American stories in which an elder recounts that he and his mate "gave each other the gift of children".  Not that she had "given him children" as it's so often put in the west.  At any rate, I'm sharing with you of course, not commemorating and endorsing holidays.( There may be holidays you might tell me of at some point of course).  Speaking of mothering creative efforts, our creative effort  is coming along well! I'm going to work in the studio a bit tonight on the lotus flowers and start doing a bit of research on the map of Tibet. While I'm thinking of it, please try this link http://162.215.249.82.

And so, as always we'll continue on to tomorrow
my one  gentle enduring dream bright
so for now I bid goodnight!)

(( The spinning supplies still haven't arrived yet but they will soon! )
