Through My Eyes

Friday  May 23

We continue... down in the mucky spot by the pump. I've been slogging around and you've tied your hair up firmly ( there is a lot
to get your hair caught on down in here!) and patiently come down the steep bank to help me. We both clean up the pump a bit, get it back in it's
casing.  Then it's out of here we go to the studio to turn the pump on and to gather the plants we are going to plant! ( the rope is what we would
pull on to get the pump out of the casing). I promise to add more tomorrow...

Through my eyes

( The rust color isn't coming from the pump but from oxidized iron in the clay.  The pump is in a backwater area so the floods won't tear it away.  I figure you and I have been seeing along with one another long enough to look at such things together. The spindle came in today and I immediately set to work making thread for you!  The colors in the pictures aren't coming out quite right; the background  and fibers are actually white and the starting thread is actually a rich violet
purple.   The starting thread is what positions the spindle and acts as an anchor for the newly forming thread. I was  out in the Grove in the rain after that cuttng fencing wire for the trees and got in late  so I'd better stop for now.  But please click on the spindle icon as we begin our spinning of thread!
And so, as always we'll continue on to tomorrow
my one  beautiful patient dream bright
so for now I bid goodnight!)
