Through My Eyes

I haven't yet had time to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma so I thought we could watch another video sung by Dronpe called "Drinlen". I continue to think about ideas for the frame loom although I haven't done more work on it yet.

I am somewhat distracted by news from Tibet today.

"China has ordered government and security forces in Tibet to crush any signs of support for the Dalai Lama, AFP reported a Chinese state media in Tibet as saying Thursday. A conference of Chinese Communist leaders ordered authorities to "mobilise and fully deploy" to maintain stability, the Tibet Daily reportedly said. "The meeting called on the party, government, military, police and public in all areas... to firmly crush the savage aggression of the Dalai clique, defeat separatism, and wage people's war to maintain stability," the paper said of the meeting in Lhasa. "

Such fear.

My understanding is that beings must undergo karma or experiences caused as a result of their actions in former existences. These are activated when various causes and conditions come together; when the combination is present the resulting karma becomes so likely as to be inevitable . Only in the presence of a very skilled teacher can the misunderstanding be unravelled. The leaders are sensing the arrival of consequences in their existence and at some level realize the inevitability of them as well as their own responsibility for them.

Under those circumstances human beings often exhibit a psychological behaviour called "projection". In projection people

project their own harmful emotions and motivations upon others rather than to acknowlege their true origin- within their own minds. The savage aggression the communist leadership mentions is their own. The anguish for which they are responsible will shape their future in dark and terrible ways unless they gain understanding before it is too late. In the confusion of their minds they are completely rejecting the presence of the one skilled teacher who could really help them- and they are hurting and killing even more of my friends.

I am very sad.
