Through My Eyes

I 'm beginning to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma again...Here I'm moistening the clay and making some repairs to the base. The thin outer layer as
usual dried out a lot more then the inner portions.

Usually I really soak the towels down, then wait a few days for the water to seep into the clay. Even if the clay has large cracks in it the water re-expands
it and they close up again. Here we can see this happening; the cracks have almost closed! The sculpture has come through the winter quite well! I need
to continue to look into casting materials. There are quite a variety! Which one is used will in part depend upon whether the final sculpture will be made
of resin, concrete or bronze. I am thinking of making the first copy out of resin since bronze will be too expensive at first. But it would be nice to have a casting material that I could use for both!  There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
