Continuing work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma! Here I'm working a bit more on the other side...


I'm working on the neck a bit. The angle of the jaw is somewhat more prominent than it will be later but the rest is coming along.




still more work on the face...



In looking at her sadness it is also good to remember the light hearted playfulness that is also thought of as part of her nature; it is one of her ways of helping the aspirant overcome a rigid and overly self important outlook.  It is that lightness of heart that has enabled Tibetans to survive 52 years of occupation.
