Through My Eyes

I haven't been able to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma yet. The weaving on the frame loom is coming along though! The weaving continues to be difficult and the fabric is narrowing but it will be wide enough for the first half of the prayer flag as planned.

It has been a terrible week. Two Tibetans in Lhasa left their work at a restaurant and stood in front of the Jokhang Temple and sacrificed their bodies to the flames to bring the Tibetan people's terrible suffering to the world's attention. And in eastern Tibet a nomad mother with three young children has done the same. The CCP remains obdurate. His Holiness the Dalai Lama has said the the leaders are very hardened- and that only their mouth is working and not their ears- they do not listen and they do not understand the true Tibetan feeling. And so the week ended with empty tables and a dark silent kitchen in Lhasa and a small concrete house where three children wait for a mother to come home. There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
