Through My Eyes

Continuing work on the sculture of Tara Drolma! Here I'm working on the hair...

I haven't shown the armature building here; it is the usual method. In general I am attempting to portray movement and energy while maintaining solidity and avoiding the deep undercutting that will be hard to cast later. Some more views...

It has been another terrible week. Three more Tibetans have walked into the flames. So fifty human beings have voluntarily chosen the most agonizing death imaginable for the future of their people- and forty of them have died.

Gandhi once said:

                                        First they ignore you,
                                        Then they ridicule you,
                                        Then they fight you,
                                        Then you win.

Things are different in Tibet; the CCP are not the British. But I doubt the CCP leadership are ridiculing Tibetans in their minds. The  greatest courage is impossible to ignore. And armed soldiers and police are everywhere on the plateau...

Veritas Filia Temporis.

There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
