Through My Eyes

In these cold weeks of January I haven't been able to work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma. I have come to realize it's better to mostly let the clay dry out in the late fall so it is less likely to develop excessive cracking from freezing. So I'll wait a few weeks until the coldest time is past.

I continue to work on the frame loom although there isn't a lot to see yet. I began stringing the warp and then decided to put in additional cross pieces which took a bit of time.

As of December 9,2012 102 Tibetans have walked into the flames. The CCP's response has been typical. They have ignored the requests of world leaders, unaccompanied by any potential sanctions. Instead they are burning satellite dishes, replacing television sets in monasteries with special televisions limited to state controlled media  and imprisoning and torturing Tibetans to obtain false confessions of having incited the self immolations.

Nothing has changed. We must work to change things.

There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
