Through My Eyes

Continuing work again on the sculpture of Tara Drolma! Actually there were a fair number of areas that loosened up and have to either be pressed down again or redone. Here I'm working on the hands and arms...

The head is just fine however! I will have to work some more on the hair though.

Here's the frame loom again...

On June 11,2013 a Tibetan nun in Tawu walked into the flames. She is number 119. On a Phayul message board a poster named omze writes:

A Mild Mannered Flame

A mild mannered flame,

compared to the furnace of the past.

A single butter lamp, reignites

that once again will cast

the heavy shadow of oppression

for all to see.

All the words from distant shores

have no base,

they turn their face

away ,

the funeral smoke clouds their eyes,

shut the door on Tibetan cries.

"We do not hear".

                              omze

Is that us? Let it not be us. Let our ears hear, our hearts listen and our hands work. And let not a day pass where we do not tell of this suffering.  There's a lot more to add but as usual two as one we'll add to the notes later beautiful one!
