Through My Eyes
*
We're still in Ngari this time in Toling. This is where the chapel of King Yeshe O is located along with many other remarkable temples. The King had supported Rinchen Tsangpo, the Buddhist spiritual leader in building the temples throughout Ngari and to bring the great master Atisha into Tibet. It is recounted that when captured by neighboring tribes and held for ransom he gave his own life so that the ransom money would be used to bring Atisha to Tibet instead. Principle and wisdom were worth more to him than his wealth or even his own life! The ruins of Tsaparung are about 10 miles away. I'll add a bit more notes on it later. The drawing and picture are a bit rough I know. You can see where I was trying to put in some of the Lakes of the Chang Tang. You can see my difficulty gentle beautiful one! Two as one we'll lengthen the drawing a bit and add more of the Chang Tang plateau's features.
