( I thought we might read of shamanic work.)

" Just as people need healing, sometimes a place will need to be healed. A very important element of Buryat shamanism is the idea of ezed, or spirits of place. Animals are alive and people are alive, but rocks, mountains, fields, and even cities also have their on consciousness; indeed the whole world is vibrant with life and consciousness. If people truly understood this, I believe the abuse of the environment on both a physical and spiritual level would decline. Many human beings today view the seemingly inanimate world as being dead and therefore not to be respected. How wrong they are! Because the world itself is full of consciousness, a shamans work will necessarily include the healing of places as well as of the earth itself.
The most common problem a shaman encounters in this kind of work is pollution. The world has been polluted physically , and violence, hatred, abuse, and war have polluted it spiritually. Although there will be times when even a shaman may have to resort to physical violence in mundane life in order to protect herself and her community, shamans recognize the polluting effect that violence can have on a place. Houses that are haunted by a discarnate suns spirit are also polluted. Dealing with hauntings is such an important part of shamanic work that I will discuss it first.
A place- usually a house, a building, or sometimes even a place in the natural world-may sometimes become the haunt of a free suns spirit of a nature spirit that is hostile to human beings. Its effects on people who live at or frequent a place will be a good indication of the general personality of the spirit that haunts it. It should be understood that haunting spirits  are of a different class form the suld souls that settle and become ezen of places. Suld souls generally have little effect on the living unless there are many of them who died violently in a certain area ( such as on battlefields or in crime-ridden neighborhoods). The issue of calming suld souls will be discussed later in this section. If people frequenting a certain place become violently ill, experience soul loss, feel unreasonable fear, or see frightening manifestations , it is likely that the spirit haunting the place is of a hostile nature."
( In the  Buryat view attunement is as important as action.  As in Tibet this view lead to a harmonious balance between humans and Nature.)  I promise to add more tomorrow...

( Tahshi, gentle beautiful one!  I think the need for violence in defense is vastly overrated generally of course. I spent the day in the studio carving  our lotus blossoms, tidying up, and doing Qigong which I need to keep working on to stay proficient. It's been raining on and off all day here and a lightening bolt has just hit nearby the studio! I picked some of the peaches, they weren't quite ripe but they look impressive! Insects don't seem to attack them as much here which is somewhat surprising. I 'll add our wildflowers and then rest for now.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on  to tomorrow
