Medlar is looking something like a spirit tree already and feels like it especially when the sounds of evening begin. I managed to haul up a rather heavy load of wet mulch for the trees and checked the trees and plants in the Grove. I brought back some Aronia berries for Mom and Kathy to try. They are somewhat astringent and sour and would make a very healthy and refreshing drink! There aren't many yet, but when they are tall bushes there will be plenty of them for us to try this with.
