( I priced out materials for fixing the staircase, did some work in the Grove and scythed more grass. The aphids are still a problem and I'm going to have to oil spray again. It would all be fascinating if they didn't do so much damage. The ants have an entire aphid herd up in the sky and they are industrious shepherds! The lady bugs cut down on numbers but usually don't do enough to maintain the balance. I got a hard drive to backup the computer I'm working with which isn't big news but does bring some peace of mind. That sky yesterday was awesome wasn't it? I'm sitting in the studio now in front of our banner and listening to Spirit Wind as I type this and looking at the carving blocks for our lotus blossoms. Hopefully, I'm going to get to carving them soon! You'll like gilding and be good at it I think. The technique actually uses water; you cover the surface of the prepared sculpture with it and float the thin gold leaves onto the surface.
