( Reading  together again from Sarangerel's book Chosen by the Spirits!)

" Shamans try to collect as many mirrors as they can because they have tremendous protective and energizing power. These mirrors will be attached to the shaman costume, with at least one on the chest and one on the back. Shamans also commonly wear a mirror on a string or ribbon either over or under their clothing at all times. The reason is that mirrors have the property of pulling in and accumulating energy in all frequencies at all times, and wearing a mirror over the chest  channels energy into the setgel ( the gol of ones being). This keeps the shaman energized and ready to do her work at any time., and the toli will be available if the shaman suddenly needs to do some kind of healing work. Furthermore, the mirror is a badge of the shamans office and people recognize the wearer as being a shaman. When I went to Severobaikalsk in 1997, as I walked through the metal detector at the Ulan-Ude airport the alarm kept going off. I removed all my jewelry and emptied my pockets, but to no avail. Suddenly I remembered my toli( mirrors tend to stay very warm and they can be easily forgotten if worn next to the body). I pulled it out and laid it on the tray holding my jewelry. The security guard was astonished, and all the Buryats smiled saying "Look, she's a shaman!" Shamans also wear mirrors because they have strong protective properties. Not only do mirrors absorb energy, but they radiate it as well. "  I promise to add more tomorrow...

( Tahshi deleh, gentle one! It's hard to illustrate the  poem  but I thought you'd like to see our prayer flag again after all these months .It's hard to take a picture from the ground in summer lighting conditions so I took a picture from up in the tree. I finished spraying and fencing in the new planting so this weekend was a success. Groundhog appears to be going back to eating nettles again fortunately. I've left him some corn anyway just to be sure. It occurred to me that the reason the trees were so tasty to him this season is because of the bacterial spray I've been putting on. It probably has lots of protein, trace elements and a bit of salt that he finds irresistible. Attracted by the smell he probably thought  the tree leaves were popcorn for the Tenger's show! Anyway, I sprayed a small section of the nettles outside the fence with it just to see if this is the case. That and spread a bit more repellant inside of course. It's starting to get late again so I'll add our wildflowers for the week and  rest for now.
And so, as always we'll continue two as one on  to tomorrow
my one gentle beautiful  patient dream bright
