Through My Eyes

We're in the grasslands of Ngari as in the poem I brought us! This is a map of Mount Kailas along with the two lakes  Manasarovar to the east  shaped like the sun  and Rakshas Tal to the west, like the moon.  There are many wondrous places in the area of Mt Kailas and the two lakes to be sure!  The rivers actually do flow approximately in the four directions. The Brahmaputra is 2900 kilometres or 1801 miles in length by the time it flows into the Ganges in India! The Potala palace, the temple of Lukhang, Drepung and the Nechung Oracle are all somewhere nearby the spot marked Lhassa in Tsang-U  or Utsang as our Footprint Tibet handbook calls it. I just realized I forgot to add last week's map to our infosite pages. I'll add it this weekend.
